ABOUT THE HOUR OF POWER IN South Africa

The “Hour of Power” is the televised recording of the services coming from the Crystal Cathedral in Los Angeles, USA. It all began in 1970 when Billy Graham encouraged Dr. Schuller to televise his church services. Dr. Schuller is an ordained minister of the Reformed Church of America, coming from the Dutch Reformed Church.

The “Hour of Power” is now viewed all over the world by many millions of people every Sunday. Dr Robert H. Schuller and his son, Dr Robert A. Schuller have written numerous books on various aspects of positive Christianity, like for instance, Possibility Thinking and Possibility Living.

Most recently, due to the resignation of Robert Anthony Schuller as Senior Pastor from the Crystal Cathedral, the pulpit has been opened up to a variety of world renowned speakers, both male and female. In this way, the Hour of Power remains the most widely heard voice of positive Christianity in the world.
