ABOUT THE HOUR OF POWER IN New Zealand

The Hour of Power was first broadcast in New Zealand on the Horizon Pacific Network in August 1995 after a long struggle to obtain airtime. This association, although not ideal as we were only able to reach a small percentage of the population, worked well until May 1997 when Horizon Pacific ceased operations. In July 1997 we were eventually able to secure a timeslot on TV3 which worked well until February 2010 when TV3 ceased to broadcast Hour of Power. Again the Lord provided timeously through Prime TV and the programme is also now broadcast on Shine TV and the ministry in New Zealand continues to grow.

The broadcasts have been made possible because New Zealanders who have appreciated the need for the Ministry have supported the work financially.

In 1999 the Crystal Cathedral Ministries NZ Trust was established as a charitable trust thus making all donations to the ministry tax deductible. The administration of the Ministry in New Zealand was originally contracted to another Christian organisation by the ministry in New Zealand but a new, separate New Zealand office was established in 2000.

From August 2002 until July 2008 the ministry has leased office space in Epsom. In August 2008 we relocated to Greenlane. From 2005 onwards, the ministry in New Zealand has been totally self-supporting.

One full time, three part time workers and a team of volunteers take care of the day by day operations of the Ministry office making Ministry materials available to viewers and donors as well an insuring there is the financial base to keep the programme on air week by week.
